From Sonic 2
After my Ice Cap Zone picture started getting some attention, I received a lot of requests to do another "Zone." After trying 2 or 3 other zones, I settled on Chemical Plant.
Whereas Ice Cap Zone was more or less a collection of elements from the game, I wanted to make a scene that looked good whether or not you know what it's from. So I decided to leave off the rings and springboards as to not take away from what's really important.
This was modeled and rendered in Blender. Even on my new PC, this took a bit longer than 2 days to render!
Oh, and download is 2560x1600. Large enough for the biggest monitors!
