Back to normal

My PC is back! Finally, after catching fire, I had to order replacements, only to have to sell the replacements, and replace half the system altogether. Now everything seems to be running smoothly, so I hope to get back to some more 3D modeling soon! I'm hoping to get familiar with Blender 2.5 this time. I could never get used to the UI overhaul last time I tried it, but I'm going to have to figure it out sooner or later, and preferably sooner. One of the main reasons I need to learn Blender 2.5, is so I can run Luxrender GPU when it's finally released!!! That means I'll be able to use my PC's graphics card when rendering 3D scenes, which c

So, my pictures that I do have two parts that go together to create the final image. There's the artistic side, which is mostly me striving for something that looks halfway decent, and then there's the technical side. 3D modeling takes a lot of computing power, and I've spent the last 3 years building and tweaking my computer to be the best that it can be when it comes to visual computing. Without it, I'll admit, I'm practically lost as an artist. It's my tool of choice, like a paintbrush or pencil. New technology in 3D leads me to create new ideas that can use that technology. And new ideas for images help me to figure out how to achieve tha

So, I decided to start a journal today (obviously). I've been a bit slow with my 3D modeling lately, mostly because I'm still recovering from last semester. However, I have a new processor (thank goodness) and a new will to render again! I have started a couple of models that are turning out nice. One I really am not sure what to do with yet, but whatever it becomes, it should be awesome! And the other, is yet another Sonic zone. I don't want become too focused on these zones, because I still want to peruse original work. But I gotta admit, those zones are fun to make! I just love looking at a 2D image of a fantasy world and then building i

Happy...birthday. :B
Hehey, happy birthday. :w00t:
Are you interested in any modeling for a 3D Sonic game?

I'm the leader of a fan game project, Sonic Freerunner; which is made to replicate the Genesis games' gameplay style in full 3D. We've been looking for a talented modeler who has a firm grasp on the style behind the original games, and hey, you're just the kind of guy we're looking for!
Love the 3-D art, keep up the good work! :)
